Op. Dr Umut Erdoğan was born in Diyarbakır in 1986. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Dicle University in 2010. Between 2011 and 2016, he completed his specialist training at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Ege University in Izmir.Following his specialist training, he completed his compulsory service at Hakkâri Yüksekova State Hospital between 2016 and 2018. He subsequently worked at Kütahya Simav State Hospital between 2018 and 2020. Between 2020 and 2022, he worked at a private hospital in Afyon.During his residency, he attended numerous training programmes and courses in the fields of nasal and sinus surgery, rhinoplasty and pituitary surgery. He wrote his specialist thesis on advanced dissection of the paranasal sinuses and the pterygopalatine fossa using fresh cadavers.Op. Dr Umut Erdoğan has built up his experience in this field by focusing on ear, nose and throat surgery—particularly rhinoplasty—since his years as a junior doctor.
